Update: Inaugural Day, January 20, 2008

The National Gallery of Art will be closed to the public on January 20, Inauguration Day, due to parade assembly areas and related security that will encircle the Gallery’s campus.

The National Gallery of Art and its Sculpture Garden are open Monday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sunday, 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The entire Gallery is closed on December 25 and January 1 every year. Admission is always free.

Visitors to the nation’s capital during the inaugural festivities will not want to miss the following Gallery exhibitions, installations, and programs that celebrate America’s history and culture.
