Christmas Liturgy

December is the time that we express hope and joy that will carry us through the new year. The Advent Season prepares us for the celebration of the Nativity of Jesus at Christmas. Holy Rosary celebrates the Coming of Christ in Catholic tradition with the following Mass schedule for the Christmas Liturgy.
Nativity of the Lord 25 December Mass at Midnight
Church doors open at 11:00 Christmas Carols begin at 11:15
Confessions from 11:00 to 11:45

Masses on Christmas Day – 9:00 (English) -10:30 (Italian) -12:00 (English)
All are invited after each Christmas Mass to Casa Italiana for refreshments.

Solemnity of Mary, the Holy Mother of God
Thursday, 1 January  – Mass at 11:00 (English)
Epiphany of the Lord

Sunday, 4 January – Masses -9:00 (English)-10:30 (Italian) 12:00 (English)
Saturday, 20 December – Padrio Pio Mass
Join the Padre Pio Group in their monthly gathering.  The Rosary is recited at 10:30 and Mass is celebrated at 11:00

  • Sunday, 21 December – Blessing of the Bambinelli
    All are invited to bring their infant Jesus figure from their home Nativity set to be blessed at Mass.
  • Wednesday, 31 December – New Year’s Eve Celebration
    Join us as we usher in the New Year.  Mass will be celebrated at 6:30 and the doors at Casa Italiana will open at 7:30.  Dinner made by Pasta Plus Restaurant with music from the Omni 1 Band.  Reservations & payments must be made by 28 December.  The cost per ticket is $60.

  • Sunday, 4 January – Vien la Befana
    In Italian tradition of the celebration of the Epiphany, families are invited at our Noon Mass for the blessing of all children.  After Mass all are welcomed to Casa Italiana as the Befana will notvien di  notte but makes a special visit to the children of Holy Rosary.
