The National Council for the Promotion of Italian Language in American Schools (National

COPILAS) is extending an invitation for you to attend the reception and dinner on Saturday,

September 13, 2014 at 6:30 pm at the Casa Italiana Culture Center, 595 Third Street NW,Washington, DC

The event is a special presentation of the National Council for the Promotion of Italian Language and

Culture in the United States Lifetime International Achievement Award to Robert Edsel for his work

illuminating the preservation of art and culture post World War II. Mr. Edsel’s book Monuments Men

was recently made into a movie and subsequent books he authored, Saving Italy and Rescuing Da Vinci

have made a profound impact on the arts and specifically Italian and European culture. The function

begins with a reception at 6:30 and dinner at 7:15.
